I am listed on the NASDU website as an approved security dog trainer to British Industry Standards.
I have many years experience tracking and tackling offenders, and I train dog teams to the required standard of either the NASDU Security (GP level 2 and 3 ) and Drugs and Explosives continuation training.
I also provide Victim Detection Dog training, again to the NASDU standard.
As well as offering the basics of dog security I also use my police experience to give realistic training that will develop you and your dog, and make you a more effective deterrent, more capable of detecting offenders. I train the conflict management issues around the use of dogs and give you the benefit of years of searching experience with GP and Drugs dogs. My training days are balanced and scenario based.
A NASDU GP Security dog course is on average 6 days training depending on the dog and handlers experience. – This is a certificated course verified by the Highfield Institute.
This training can be delivered in a block or spread out to fit your availability. If you have service experience as a dog handler this may reduce the duration of the course as Nasdu and Highfield recognise previous learning experience if it can be evidenced.
N.B. I do not supply dogs for training, if you need a suitable dog I suggest Total K9 run by Rob Cammish at www.totalk9.co.uk
